I graduated high school in 2022 and went on to complete EMT school through January 2023. I worked as a pizza delivery driver through school and after receiving my EMT-B certification, I pursued college at Kenyon in Ohio. I’m currently on a medical leave and will return in the fall.
I worked as a cashier at the College Bookstore mostly checking people out, scooping ice cream, and stocking. I loved this job for the community and getting to see and meet all different kinds of people and friends. I was there to lend a hand wherever needed and find something to do.
Aside from driving pizzas from the shop to our customers, I worked the counter, assembled boxes, and lent out a hand wherever it was needed. Personally, an important role in this position was also my contribution to the I Fratelli community/fellow employees. Ensuring that we had each others' backs and making the workplace a beneficial and uplifting environment.
My role at Chili’s included welcoming customers at the door, ensuring there was silverware packaged and at the ready for servers, cleaning and distributing menus, and as a host does, helping out wherever needed. Though I hadn’t been working there long, I was training new hosts by the end of my time at the restaurant. I would’ve loved to stay, but had to leave the restaurant as I was moving to Texas.
As the Paddle Inn worked to transition from a bar to a restaurant during COVID, I helped our returning customers in adjusting to the new system. I worked at the front of the house for the majority of my shifts seating customers, managing the waitlist, and taking phone calls. I also helped to clear and sanitize the tables and chairs according to COVID-19 policies.
