I was a certified nurse’s assistant for 20 years before becoming a RN. Most of my nurse’s assistant’s experience, since 2009, was acute care hospital experience. I worked as a float pool CNA. I became a nurse’s assistant at the age of sixteen, after being recommended by my high school health occupations teacher, in 2004. I graduated nursing school in 2024 and started working as a RN in August. I have one year of experience as a RN. I am currently working as a float pool RN at Three Rivers Community Hospital. As a float RN I work the medical surgical unit, post surgical unit, cardiac telemetry unit, post partum care, Intermediate care IMCU unit, and emergency department. As a float RN I am very flexible and work in any of the listed departments. I have to be diligent, adapt well, learn quickly, communicate effectively, and collaborate with all different departments of the hospital. I am bilingual, hardworking, reliable, great team player, observant, and have built good critical thinking skills. I have been helping provide care to my community’s most vulnerable members for over 20 years. I look forward to continuing to grow professionally and personally as a registered nurse.
