
Mark is a seasoned LGBTQ+ global finance and business executive with more than 35 years of experience in a variety of leadership roles in Silicon Valley and Japan. Mark has been responsible for leading various finance functions, including overseeing business planning, governance, controls, operations, and P&L management in the US and globally. Mark specializes in nimbly leading teams in new growth business segments and international market expansion. Mark also has extensive leadership experience leading channel strategies including cultivating strategic partnerships/alliances to scale growth. Mark is also passionately focused on coaching and developing diverse talent and building collaborative, high performing teams.
Responsible for leading the Business to Business Channel for Apple in the US, an extensive solution provider partner network delivering solutions to Apple business, education, and government customers. Developed strategy and built a high performing team and strong partnerships to deliver breakthrough growth, doubling a multi-billion $ business.
Led Finance for the US, Canada, Japan, and Korea markets. including business planning, forecasting, reporting, revenue growth initiatives, and governance. Actively collaborated with segment leaders to drive sales growth plans for a $80B+ business for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac product lines. Active engagement with weekly business reviews with the CEO and CFO.
Responsible for leading all finance functions for Japan and Korea, including planning, reporting, tax, accounting, treasury, and operational finance and governance. Key leader driving the turnaround plan for the overall Apple Japan business, including restructuring/.rebuilding the finance team, and establishing strong controls and governance. Thought partner with the Country leader resulting in exponential revenue growth and improved market share across key product lines for both Japan and Korea.
Led Finance for the US Education market, providing Apple products and solutions to K12 and Higher Education institutions and students to leverage technology to improve learning. Responsible for driving growth partnering with the Sales and marketing leaders.
Led Financial planning and forecasting, and customer deal structuring for the US Education sales teams to drive successful gains in revenue and market share.
