I held evidentiary and expedited hearings in workers compensation claims; ruled on procedural matters and other motions and prepared and issued written opinions addressing protests lodged by the parties to orders of the claim administrators.

I represented clients seeking Social Security benefits through presentation of evidence and oral argument; I also prepared appeal briefs advocating clients' position before the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Board of Review.

I conducted evidentiary hearings: ruled procedural and other motions and prepared and issued written decisions addressing protests by the parties to orders of the WV Workers' Compensation Commission.

I represented the State of WV in cases involving juvenile defendants, the WV Office of Human Resources in child welfare cases; the State of WV in uniform support petitions and mental hygiene hearings and I further represented the Logan County Board of Education. I

This was a part-time job where I presided over workers' compensation hearings throughout the State of WV; I ruled on evidentiary and procedural matters and prepared reports of my activities to the Legal Department of the Commision.

I was engaged in the general practice of law primarily representing criminal defendants; individual bankruptcy petitioners; addressing routine property matters (wills, deeds and title examinations) and served as mental hygiene commissioner for Logan County.
