I currently run my own outdoor apparel and community event company. I have been skiing at Brighton for the past 5 years and want to use my spare time to give back to the community in the way I love most: teaching. I am extremely passionate about the outdoor community here in Utah and have taught many friends how to ski and hit rails.
I think the most relevant skill to mention here is my ability to lead a team of individuals of all ages (we had workers ages 18-60) in a hectic, guest oriented environment.
I spent two summers volunteering with the National Ability Center at Momentum Climbing Gym. My focus was mentoring and climbing with children/teens on the autism spectrum and also burn victims.
As a field quality engineer, I lead investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions for field failures of bikes. I had a long list of responsibilities that I am happy to share if it interests you.
Numbskull is an outdoor apparel and community brand. I create apparel for outdoor sports like skiing/boarding, biking, and moto. I also coordinate and put on community events to create a space for people to come together. For example, I regularly host rail jams in my backyard. The purpose of my company is to enrich the ski/board community and bring people together.
At these rail jams, I commonly encourage and teach new riders how to hit their first rail.
