1997 Deputy/Investigator of the Year Award!
In October 1995 a local drug dealer in the St. Louis/Illinois Metro Area was murdered during a drug exchange. At the time I was a Deputy/Investigator assigned to the Investigations section of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department and was the on-call duty Investigator who was called out on the case. During a 27 month investigation I was able to utilize witnesses and informants to locate the suspect and during a subsequent interview the suspect confessed to the murder. My supervisor at the time nominated me for the prestigious award.
