  • Served as VP Corporate Director of Hotel Accounting. I had responsibility for the entire portfolio of 30 hotels financial operations. This included directing/supervising both centralized and decentralized sites. Responsible for treasury management and centralized banking for properties. During my time at Widewaters I rebuilt and improved the entire centralized accounting department and created a centralized accounts payable department. Reduced monthly closing time with process changes to 5 business days. Instrumental in companywide implementation of SAP as an ERP system. Successfully opened 3 full service hotels in 6 months with two of them having annual revenues in excess of $30M each.

  • Company Overview: Hotel and Resort Management Company with operations in luxury, resort and full-service hotels.
  • Served as implementation director, process re-engineering lead and support resource with full accounting/financial consolidation and reporting point to portfolio of 46 hotels and resorts. Successful in directing and guiding implementation of full consolidation budgeting, forecasting and reporting software package in an extremely challenging and diverse portfolio of assets. Also achieved optimum results in guiding company through 11th edition USALI conversion and general ledger changes. Was responsible for corporate portfolio reporting and directing the re-writing of report parameters and presentations. Provided overall portfolio accounting and general ledger review at corporate level for areas of opportunity at property levels for consistency and best practices. Performed company internal audit processes, as well as conducted audits following up with properties on areas needed for improvement. Active member of the new acquisition transition team providing initial and ongoing pro forma review, accounting and financial policy and procedure implementation at properties.

  • Oversaw all aspects of finance and accounting, for 3 companies in Vail totaling $31 million in sales and oversaw centralized accounting and finance for the collection. Devised cost controls and annual business plan with senior development executives and property department heads. Financial results for reporting to management and ownership analyzed, as well as meet reporting requirements for investors. Managed change during company transitions and guided the process implementation of company standards and policies. Served as an officer on two HOA boards of directors and lead budgeting, owner billing and annual audit for the two HOA’s. Managed the owner rental pool agreements and monthly accounting. Duties also included all financial aspects of real estate condominium and vacation club membership sales.
