Summary

I currently work for the Texas Department Of Transportation as a deckhand and have recently acquired my 100 ton Captain’s license. I know I would be a great fit with TXDOT as a safety officer and will dedicate myself to the company by providing my extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures needed for the safe operation of the Port Aransas Ferry Operations. Over the course of my career, I have over 15 years of industrial field experience assisting with the installations of various structural projects including mines, sawmills, hydroelectric power plants, tunnels, and a LNG project. I have operated cranes, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, fork lifts, fuel trucks, rock trucks and various other equipment needed for industrial construction . I am very knowledgeable with safety protocols as I worked the majority of my career under OSSA regulations(Oil Sands Safety Association). For 3 years I was the Union Steward for Servco Canada in Kitimat under Fluor(main contractor to LNG Canada) and helped facilitate excellent communications between the field personnel and management to keep the workplace environment safe, fair and efficient.
