  • Performed computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads and/or bodies; performing imaging of the head, trunk and extremities, and performing patient positioning for diagnostic radiologic procedures. If the diagnostic goal is not met initially, consult with the attending Radiologist to determine if additional views are required or alter the technique to achieve the goal before the patient leaves the department.
  • Uses a wide variety of computerized equipment such as Computed Radiography (CR), Direct Digital Radiography (DR), Digital Fluoroscopy, Computed Acquisition and port-processing workstations, PACS viewing stations, CHCS desk top viewing software, and hospital computer systems such as T-System.
  • Fully competent in the use of all computerized equipment in the Diagnostic section as well as the Operating Room. Continuously assesses the image quality and equipment performance for optimum performance and image quality. Determines if the image quality problem can be corrected independently or if the problem needed to be reported to the Supervisor, Biomedical Engineering and/or the appropriate vendor for repair.
