Well, as I described, I have a long history of working with kids of all ages and I think I’m pretty darn good at it. I get along with adults, I believe I have good communication skills. I really enjoy working with people who I can help in some way. I know the pay is not good for the position, I don’t care, rather just do something rewarding at this point in my life. I have a calm demeanor, I’m in tune of my surroundings, I feel I have a good read on people. I love working as a team and am a good team player. I tend to lead in groups when needed but don’t mind taking a back seat if that’s what’s needed. I’m consistent, reliable, will show up to work all the time. My schedule is open and would be looking for as many hours as you can give me. No work load is to much.
I have coached basketball at Ukiah High School for about 9 years I believe Never had one parent complaint in all those years
Never lost a kid to grades
I have done countless basketball camps from HS till present all over N California
I have instructed kids and adults in refereeing basketball and soccer
I have held clinics on coaching and how to deal with kids and parents
Been CPR and first aid trained thru the HS while I coached
Helped organize golf fundraisers to supply the boys and girls programs at Ukiah High which netted over $25k per year
While my daughter was in Jr High at Pomolita I put on a Haunted House which made over $7k a year (did it 2 years but no one would take the reins after I left) The entire gym was a haunted house, cafeteria was a children’s not scary game room The outside area had every group in the school district set up booths to sell things to help there club make money That was a huge event I wish was still going
I started my own AAU basketball club, which is still the cheapest program ever put together for parents No coaches got paid, we split the costs and that was it Then after I started coaching at the HS we used a little bit of the golf tourney money to pay for everything when the kids were in HS
At Yokayo a parent and I put together a cupcake program That was one day a month that ended up paying for the 6th graders science week long field trip
I belonged to Boosters at Pomolita and Ukiah High, was on the PTA for a bit too
* l helped umpire Little League baseball
* Firca few years I did the turkey cooking for South Valley the Wed before Thanksgiving I deep fried a couple turkeys and put in a spread for the whole school, had Fowler’s donate the food
I have done camps, clinics, instructional classes on just about anything sports and kid related
Everyone who meets me thinks I should have been a teacher, and I think they are right lol
