- As a technician I have done a plethora of different test procedures in lab as well as in the field including gradations, concrete air and slump, concrete compressive strength, concrete maturity, soil density and bearing factors, clay lump, proctors(standard and modified), atterberg limits, permeability(field sampling and lab testing). I drilled many concrete cores for strength purposes as well as outsourcing petrographic analysis.
- As project manager I do many things including studying plans and specs during the bidding process in order to prepare estimates. Once projects are registered I ensure that the technicians have all the information they need to be prepared for any given site visit. I handled the day to day scheduling of technicians and appointments. I do yearly lab calibrations and tended lab managing duties, coordinating with the DOT when necessary. I setup and monitored the certifications of the technicians in our employ. I am in charge of up keep and calibrations of all air pots/ slump cones/ and concrete testing kits. When needed, I help with clerical entry of reports. I do many things, however I pride myself in going the extra mile for our clients to ensure their loyalty to our firm on future projects.
