  • Created a nationwide sales team of 26 sales representatives- they had 8 when I started.
  • Assisted our design/product development team with the collections and products we were introducing.
  • Traveled with our reps to visit accounts when introducing new collections and worked together with the store owners/salespeople on ways to grow their business.
  • Twice a year prepared our Atlanta showroom for market and also worked the show with our representatives- we had a New York showroom but gave it up several years back.
  • Worked with our CFO on budgets and forecast to continue to grow the business and discuss trends.
  • I am in constant contact with our reps knowing what accounts they are visiting and usually speak afterwards to see how their visits went and if there were any problems/challenges or even success stories to report to our executive team.
  • Participate in weekly staff meeting to discuss my channel of business and be made aware of other sales channels activities.

  • I started as a salesperson in the store, was promoted to store manager and then helped develop a wholesale division.
  • Once the store manager, I hired and trained our sales staff.
  • Did trunk shows in select markets where we did not have stores like Nashville, Aspen, Vancouver, Detroit, and Atlanta.
  • Starting the wholesale division I approached bedding/home/lifestyle stores in hopes to open accounts- we had a higher price point product so it was always a challenge to find the best fitting partners.
