Year 1 (Trainee) basic duties.
•maintaining a clean work environment therefore keeping the crew cabs and equipment clean and free of any debris and doing a pre/pos inspection.
• learning how to read the work schedule and how to synchronize the streets in the order we will be going by for the work zone locations.
•learning how to operate the tools and equipment needed for the job tasks, suck as a squeegee for push the hot tarr into the cracks or the shovels used to toss the asphalt and the signs needed for the task we will be doing.
Year 2 (Tech 1) basic duties
•Actually start to drive the crew cabs from work locations to another.
•Being the one responsible for making sure we got the right tools and equipment on the truck that day to get the job tasks done.
•As the driver now making sure everyone gots what they need.
Year 3 & 4 (Truck Driver)
•Obtained my Class A CDL and got promoted
•Now operating a commercial vechile and as my job duty is hauling rock from one stock pile to another and feeding the chip spreader when going reverse while laying down the gravel to cover up the oil.
•In the process of training in the sweeper, chip spreader, & asphalt distributer.
•General maintenance, greasing of the chip spreader and all of its lubricant points and knowing the tie down points when hauling.
Asphalt distributer, assuring all values and hoses are clean as possible, making sure the temp is at its right rate.
•sweeper, both heads on the brooms and the brissles and working properly, the vacuum is getting good suction, cleaning the bed out every shift to clean Debris
