Accomplishments

Developed a CNC forming program, seam (butt weld) program, circumferential weld program and robotic weld program with weld parameters for each with short notice to showcase skills and help gain a new customer contract.

Traveled for the company to work alongside integrators and engineers at JR Automation to develop OTC robotic weld programs and welding parameters with state-of-the-art groove tracking technology.

As a Weld Engineering Tech, I reduced scrap rates and defects throughout the facility by implementing parameter changes, weld process changes, and camera tracking changes.

Last month, I changed a PLC program to enable welding of a new part. With this change, I saved the company approximately $90,000, which was the quoted cost for the integrator to implement the same change.

As a Weld Engineering Technician, I designed and implemented a new grounding system on a new line to prevent scratches from the current grounding method.

As a Weld Engineering Technician, I successfully educated a new technician and passed on troubleshooting and robotic welding knowledge on a new system and monitored their progress.

As an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician, traveled for the company on multiple occasions to run off equipment that included a lateral seam machine and automated weld cell to ensure proper operation and operator ease of use.

As a supervisor, I traveled to another plant within my company where I successfully trained employees, optimized a robotic weld process and repaired equipment.
