Work History

Parks Maintenance Worker

Sandy City
09.2020 - Current

I am primarily responsible for ensuring the safe play and utilization of all sports fields in Sandy. I prepare, inspect, and manage 18 ballfields not including grass infields, up to 22 soccer fields, and 2 flag football fields all which bring in up to 10,322 athletes and participants for Recreational organized games (per 2023 performance measures). This would not include outside practices, games, organizations, or camps that also utilize Sandy Cities sports fields per the reservation service that the Rec provides. Constant communication between Recreation Coordinators and I has been a key function in ensuring that all fields are safe, playable, and prepared for league play. Organization and efficiency on my behalf has been vital in my success as I have to bring together multiple schedules from different coordinators, coaches, and league presidents into one. From the start of my professional career at Sandy Parks I have revamped and raised the bar for the ballfields crew. Being the one that best understands my position best I have grown to be fully self sufficient from day to day job duties to carrying out renovation projects. My greatest achievement to date has been bringing new equipment to the crew and utilizing its laser leveling feature to renovate and remove ballfield lips at some of our most utilized parks ensuring much more safe playing conditions for the public.

General Duties Crew Member

Mister Car Wash
11.2019 - 03.2020

During my short time here I was brought on to help with the regular duties and tasks of aiding in drying the exterior of vehicles and guiding them into the car wash. I quickly was able to pick up on these and was requested to take on more responsibility by communicating with customers with higher memberships. I was often in charge of cleaning and detailing the interiors of vehicles and clearly communicating to the customer the process that the vehicle underwent to be in the condition it is.
