Responsibilities:

  • Audio recording of percussion, synth and other sound sources using simultaneous multiple microphones, vintage outboard and vintage API console.
  • Editing audio into multi-velocity samples in Pro Tools.
  • Building multi-velocity samples into single sample "instruments" with "round robin" sample swapping, to be used with Native Instruments and custom built sample players.
  • Cataloguing samples in digital format.
  • Mapping samples to custom electronic drum pads to assist in setting up "kits" as well as individual sample alternatives.
  • Collaborating with Danny and his stage technicians to select and map samples to custom-made electronic drum pads.
