MDM (DQS, MDS)

• In this capacity, numerous data projects required working in close collaboration with stakeholders to identify business needs, data sources, and with business leaders to gather requirements to ensure that high data quality exists throughout the complete lifecycle of the data, and data controls were implemented which supported the business objectives. This included (but not limited to) merging sources to create master record(s) to create a golden record (SOR) for physicians, customers (patients), orders, billing, payors, etc. and their reference sources to construct a series of project knowledge base and domains. Developed data mining algorithms to identify and classify patterns within the data. This includes data matching, de-duplication and merging of data from multiple sources. Within these functions, data analyzing, profiling, curating, publishing (via REST-API), notifications, monitoring, and maintenance were performed to ensure the integrity of the master set and golden record. These efforts were to centralize the single version of the truth to be utilized in all applications (for ex. Commissions, Global Patient Search, Eligibility Error, etc.). Created data models to support decision-making processes.

Reporting Projects (Lincare SSRS Migration)

• As lead architect, designer, and developer over the business intelligence team we worked closely with business partners to design, develop and maintain customized reports, summarizing and presenting data in a visually appealing format using report services (SSRS) and Tableau dashboards (finance, rehab, etc.). Also, recommended implementation of new business intelligence tools, selecting appropriate solutions in addressing issues in operational processes. Excellent knowledge in creating visualizations, interactive dashboards, reports and data stories using Tableau and Power BI for the POC. A local Power BI was installed, configured, and used in an effort to transition the existing analytics and reporting outputs from the existing legacy outputs to Power BI. This required the implementation and administration of the gateway service, an example of the mobile app, and Power BI POC dashboard examples. Provided technical support for troubleshooting analytics and reporting issues as operation needs arose. We handled massive quantities of business intelligence data, personally managing as much as 1 to 1.2 terabytes utilizing customized data collection models for those specific visualization tasks. Optimized data access and storage to improve performance of analytics systems by removing old and unused data or redundant data. This required me to maintain proficiency with the latest server/database technologies for structured and unstructured data approaches. Identified patterns and trends in large data sets and provided actionable insights.

Administration

• Acted in several "administration" roles from Team Foundation Server Administrator, Database Administrator for SQL Server/MySQL, and Master Data Service. In previous positions, helped in tracking defects using bug tracking and version control tools like TFS, JIRA and GIT Hub. Regarding Jira is administration experiences with Confluence, Jelly Runner, and Bamboo. Lead the development team in agile (BI team - Kanban) whiteboard sessions creating User Stories, Work Items, Tasks, Issues/Bug fixes to better track bi-weekly iterations (e.g., Velocity, Burn Up, Burn Down, etc.).

OLAP (Cubes, MDX)

• Assisted with creating data cubes and OLAP models to improve data analysis. Added additional performance indicators to track (value, goal, status, trend, etc.) for financials, counts receivables, rental, sales, and scheduled delivery.

Data Governance

• Drafted strategic business intelligence roadmap, complete with data governance procedures and tactical information safeguards. This includes (consolidation, federation, and propagation) to a single hub. Developed and implemented those following procedures as part of the defined consolidated rules (composite, etc.) for multitude of projects, models, and domains.

Infrastructure

• Designed our new VM server environments including implementation, configurations, performance optimization, migrations (application, jobs, services), data workflows/pipelines, and app/web services tier (IIS/app pools with appropriate security). Also ensured implementation of recommended upgrades from single to dual port NIC’s and replacing high-cost storage solutions to SSD where applicable.
