In the military for 4 years, I got out in 2018 and went to college for Game Design for about 3 years. I moved to South Florida and found myself working for Arthrex currently as a Machine Operator 1 for the molding department. Looking to expand my horizions to working with computers and other fields related to computers.
Full-Time / 65-75 hrs
-Operate multiple types of machines from plastic-only parts to parts with metal shafts molded inside.
-Measure and visually inspect finished parts before, during and after operations to make sure parts are within measurement and visual tolerances.
-Read and understand blueprints to confirm parts are within measurement tolerances.
-Being flexible to change current work orders at machines when issues arise and starting new work orders before specified deadlines are met.
-Fix common issues that arise from manual and automatic machines.
-Prep the next job for machines, and clear the work areas of previous jobs and paperwork.
-Assist technicians by performing color changes, mold changes, color and material refills, and cleaning of the mold.
-Ensure provided documents for finished jobs and work orders are properly recorded and are acceptable for the next procedure. Ensure individuals assigned to the documents properly document all information.
-Move the finished jobs to the next department they are scheduled for and prepare the next job by counting the shafts to ensure we have the full amount and preparing paperwork for the operators and technicians.
-Operate and perform checks on jobs for the engineering department.
-Keep machines running promptly to ensure jobs get done by their predicted due date.
-Upload all information for jobs, part checks, and closing reports to SAP.
-Upload daily reports on total production for the shift and perform checks on the work area for all tools and supplies to Microsoft Teams. Use of Microsoft Word and Excel for proper procedure documentation.
-Handle conflicting goals, objectives, priorities, timelines, and deadlines by submitting claims for any incorrect parts or defects to the Quality Control department.
-Follow instructions about timeliness, objectives, and relative priorities on the list of work orders that need to be completed.
-Sort and complete NCRs for jobs that have been pushed back for bad parts found in the job.
Part-Time / 40-50 hrs
-Stock 3-4 isles worth of product overnight.
-Check counts on items that are empty or low on the shelves.
-Greet and assist customers in finding items that they need and are looking for.
-Return damaged goods that are found on the shelves.
-Keep and maintain store cleanliness throughout the day and/or night.
-Make decisions on either replenishing or replacing display cases at the end of the isles for what would be in demand.
-Maintained excellent attendance record, consistently arriving to work on time.
Full-Time / 50-60 hrs
-Perform multiple tasks under stressful and intense environments.
-Perform daily maintenance on all equipment to ensure full functionality.
