PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST

I believe the greatest news for all mankind is that Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity, became a man and accomplished our redemption on the cross through His death. He did this to glorify His Father. Jesus physically rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Just as He rose from the dead, so will all who by faith embrace Him as Savior

SALVATION

I believe that salvation from the wrath of God is offered to all mankind. Only through personal faith in the atoning death of Christ and His resurrection can a person receive salvation. I believe that salvation is a gift of God given to those whom God chose before the foundation of the world (John 15:16; Rom. 8:28-30; Rom. 9:14 -18; Eph. 1:4).

ORDINANCES

I believe in the baptism of believers through immersion in water; a portrait of our association with the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior. I believe in the Lord's Supper as a scriptural means of testimony for the church age (I Cor. 11:23-31).

GIFTS

I believe that the purpose for which the Spirit gives gifts is for the building up and unifying of the church (Eph. 4:12-16). I believe that the gift of tongues and healing were, like the gifts of apostleship and prophecy, given for the founding of the church. I believe these gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established (1 Cor. 12:4-11; || COR. 12:12)

Ministry Journey and Experience

Calling and Early Ministry (1995) Collaborative Leadership and Church Service Transition and Continued Ministry (2000–2003) Goal of Ministry

In 1995, I received a call to ministry through my faith in Jesus Christ. My early experience was shaped by the leadership of Dr. LL Roberts at Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, where I engaged in comprehensive training and mentorship from distinguished leaders. Subsequently, I was entrusted with overseeing the Youth Department, a role that included instructing young believers, facilitating Bible study sessions, and conducting Sunday school classes.

At Grace Tabernacle, I collaborated with fellow elders to address both doctrinal and practical matters, such as church discipline, theological differences, and establishing the church's vision. My responsibilities also encompassed assisting individuals in identifying and utilizing their spiritual gifts. Additionally, I preached during Sunday morning and evening services and participated in various revival events at other congregations.

In 2000, a job relocation brought me to Mansfield, Louisiana, where I became part of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church community. Under Pastor C.L. Bryant’s guidance, I had the opportunity to contribute by preaching, teaching Bible study, leading Sunday school, and engaging in revival meetings.

On September 21, 2003, I was formally ordained for gospel ministry, representing a significant milestone in my vocational journey.

My ongoing objective in ministry remains to serve faithfully, provide instruction, and support others in their spiritual development and commitment to the gospel.

WORD OF GOD

I believe the scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the verbally inspired Word of God. God's Word is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. In it is all that is needed for a person to know how to love God and their neighbor (II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:3, 20-21). In fact, scripture alone is sufficient for all areas of ministry including preaching, teaching, and counseling. Because of this, I believe expository preaching/teaching to be the best way to communicate these truths.

DEPRAVITY OF MAN

I believe that man was made in the image and likeness of God but that in Adam's sin the race fell, inheriting a sinful nature and becoming enemies of God (Rom. 5:10). I believe that due to man's depravity he is helpless to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:10 -18; Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3,12).
