Markus Coleman

We went to different schools in the county and built/renovated their pre-existing gardens. At each garden we would mix soil in large wheelbarrows, fill massive pots/beds, water hundreds of plants, remove weeds, harvest vegetables/flowers, plant dozens of plants, take care of chickens, and much more. We worked every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm. This internship helped me develop the following skills:

• Positive Work Ethic
• Customer Service

Volunteer event where people come to a large park/trail and cut invasive vines off the surrounding trees, I demonstrated the following while I worked with my group:

• Attention to detail
• Work Ethic
• Consistency

This volunteer work was an opportunity to get service learning hours, help my community, and grow as an individual while developing useful skills.
