Work History

Journeyman

Total-Western Inc.
04.2024 - 06.2024
  • After reviewing blueprints, we used the metabo to cut doors and windows for beams to be rigged across the tempering air ducts. Damaged pipe and columns were removed and replaced with new material. Beams were rigged back out. The windows were stick welded and doors were mig welded back on. The air ducts crew finished early so we had the option to support another area.
  • I was selected to be the designated mig and stick welder. We demoed and installed new material to the Alpha Secondary Wheel. When all welding was complete, I supported my coworker with installing new bypass seals on both hot and cold end.
  • My supervisor then moved me to the toolroom where I overlooked the rentals and tools leavingthe trailer. I reorganized the tool trailer and completed toolbox checks during layoffs.

Quality Control Inspector and Supervisor

I-TEK Solutions
08.2022 - 03.2024
  • I would get to work an hour early to perform a walkdown with personnel from the liner group and the main contractor to approve the area to be covered that day. The safety meeting followed as well as any updates to the roads we used in the Landfill.
  • My Inspectors were responsible for the data collecting (date, time, operator, location, etc) and ensuring the best quality of work. If any issues came up they notified me on the radio and I talked with the liner supervisor for a solution.
  • We were able to cover over 300 acres of the CCR Landfill.
  • After completion of the landfill project we still had alot of work to do onsite to prepare for decommissioning of the remaining buildings. The project manager had to work closely with the Navajo Nation Presidential office when doing the offical handover of each building.
  • A few of us were selected to become certified to run 15,000 lbs and under heavy equipment (mostly forklift) which helped to load material leaving site. We worked with SRP in the valley to properly install solar panels for the five well pumps and to cut off any power coming to the 230 yard down to the lake pump. We fabricated a ditch using the same idea the contractors used in the Landfill. This included laying liner then pouring concrete on each end to ensure downflow of water to the drain.

Administrative Assistant and Welder Helper

  • Answered multi-line phone system, routing calls, delivering messages to staff and greeting visitors.
  • Maintained confidentiality of sensitive information by adhering to strict privacy policies and implementing secure filing systems.
  • Ensured accurate record-keeping with diligent data entry and database management for vital company information.
  • I attended meetings with the project manager and supervisors of our various areas. Planned outage crews for day and night shift.
  • When I wasn't busy in the office I was allowed to help in the field fitting up material, welding and completing walkdowns with supervisors. I also was apart of the safety committee so I helped collect safety audits and often talked in the morning safety meeting to keep up awareness.
  • I had many important responsibilities such as being a holder of a corporate credit card and having the approval to drive onsite.
