  • I was first responsible for filling out a VCR form which is a vehicle checklist prior to driving my hostler truck.
  • The vehicle check list consisted of me checking all tires, fluids,mirrors, air brake, 5th wheel, mileage, and fuel level.
  • If assigned to inbound track I would drive to that track and safely back up to the selected unit (container or trailer) connect my 5th wheel to it and the test to see that I am connected properly by pressing the gas twice to ascertain that I am actually pulling the unit.
  • Once proper connection is established, I'd pull my air brake completely up, before safely exiting the vehicle and connecting my air and brake hoses.
  • Then re-enter my Hostler truck and drive the selected unit to one of our local parking lots and park the unit and input the unit and parking location into my onboard computer.

  • Taught Trainees how to use and monitor CCTV cameras and also how to download CCTV footage and make copies when necessary at the request of law enforcement officials.
  • Implemented new security protocols to prohibit trespassing and increase safety.
