My duties as the Props Manager at Asolo Rep included:
Collaborating with scenic designers to identify, shop, rent and/or build properties.
Support rehearsal by providing rehearsal props and responding to notes in a timely manner.
Manage two Props Artisans and Props Assistant by providing support and feedback to ensure employees are growing and working to potential.
Manage a seasonal budget, as well as individual show budget.
Contracted to design, build and acquire props for their productions of "What the Butler Saw" and "Turn of the Screw".
Contracted to design, build and acquire props for their yearly tour. Productions include: "The Tempest", Julius Caesar", "Hamlet", "Twelfths Night".
Meeting with Set Designers and Directors in establishing artistic needs.

As the head of department I was responsible for all communications with directors and set designers. After viewing the design plans, I would delegate to my team the tasks at hand. My responsibilities also included building and acquiring furniture and hand props.
Once in technical rehearsal, I was in charge of all set dressing.
