  • I am in charge of all aspects of the Cambridge AICE Program at Pine Ridge High School
  • I recruit, select, and retain student candidates, build their schedules, track their progress in the program and help them move on to the next step after high school
  • I help to move any student capable of taking an AICE class into the correct classes and encourage those that can to move from the 'open-opportunity' track into the AICE diploma cohort
  • I am the Exams Officer
  • I coordinate 275-350 students in taking anywhere from 500 to 600 exams during the June exam session (that runs from the end of April until the middle of June)
  • Each exam has at least 2 components that are given or submitted on different days
  • This year I had 38 different exam components that I was responsible for creating a timetable based on the times arranged by Cambridge; scheduling proctors and arranging their subs; entering students for exams; arranging and setting up testing locations per Cambridge's specifications; and shipping exam answer scripts or submitting digital files of coursework
  • I am the teacher liaison for Cambridge
  • I give input into who should teach pre-AICE and AICE classes as well as what classes we should include in our program
  • I help to train teachers and make sure that they are following the Cambridge-set curriculum in the manner that Cambridge requires
  • I track exam grade data as well as classroom grade data and use this information to help administration make decisions regarding our program
  • I book and arrange travel and hotel accommodations for teachers to attend the training workshops given by Cambridge
  • Finally, I am in charge of ordering supplies, including textbooks, needed for our program and working within the budgetary limits set by our district advanced programs office.
