- Aim of my accomplishment is modeling and assessing transition to low carbon emission in GCC using several tools like, multilevel perspective approach used to develop scenarios, techno-economic modeling tools is proposed to capture possible evolution of energy system, and top-down macroeconomic impact on Qatar and Gulf countries of transition to low carbon/smart economy (ETEM Model and GEMINI model).
- We developed qualitative and quantitative systems analysis approach to assess future of energy system in Qatar, taking explicit into account two major descriptive factors; 1) drive toward smart cities (SC) and smart energy systems (SE) to achieve sustainability; 2) impact of COP21 climate regimes, distributed energy markets and sharing economy, on global demand for fossil fuels.
- Working with academic members of project team.
- Participating in international conferences and research visits in other institutions such as Sustainability Summit, KAPSARC, IEW Paris, and Geopolitics forum.
- Contributing to team decisions about research directions.
