  • Many years of experience running GPS, INS and Total Station survey equipment.
  • The ability to multitask , manage my time and prioritize tasks for myself and employees I am responsible for.
  • Estimate the time and cost of a given a project . Submit job bid documents to clients.
  • Creating and managing large complex Survey and GIS databases. Gathering data from many different sources , transforming data into the correct coordinate system and a usable formats, then displaying the data in one well organized ARC map or Auto cad project.
  • Drafting and creating GIS and Survey layout files to client specifications, uploading these files onto Survey / GIS field devices to be used on the ground.
  • Survey Control Points and confirm the survey data being collected is in the correct coordinate system and plots correctly on the map
  • Download, process and QC Survey and GIS data . Using digital Terrain models to confirm elevation data.
  • Digitization of GIS data using as built data and high quality Air photos
  • Coordinating the collection and QC of large amount of survey and GIS data on multiple projects at the same time
  • Create daily reports for clients. These reports included project progress numbers, project overview maps, HSE statistics and anything else that was required to be reported.
  • Scout a project then prepare a Job Safety Analysis for each project before employees begin work on each project. Ensure employees are following company HSE rules . I also reviewed and followed up any reported workplace hazards. Reported workplace Hazards would be documented and talked about in the Safety meeting the following day.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of a fleet of trucks , trailers and UTVs.
  • Conducting myself in a professional manner, leading by example and making myself available available to help the operations 24-7. I need to find a new application for my Survey , GIS , Drafting and Management skills. I am smart, reliable and hard working. I look forward to learning new things. I enjoy working in the field physically and pride myself on being diligent and efficient at anything I do.

  • During my time working for Group Steel Erectors I ran a Trimble SPS930 and T10 Data Collector with Trimble Siteworks software and a Site Level to perform many survey tasks
  • Surveying Grid lines for Anchor Bolt Layout of large Steel Buildings
  • Checking plumbness of steel columns and directing the Ironworkers where to pull the column to achieve plumbness specifications
  • Set shims and levelling nuts to desired elevations
  • Check control networks given for accuracy and set new control as required to complete my survey tasks on each project
  • Read Building drawings and convert measurements to decimal feet to draft grid lines and Anchor Bolt locations using Autocad
