  • 10 years of experience assisting SC Broadband to expand, enhance and maintain its fiber optic network by generating design documents to detail the placement of new physical infrastructure.
  • Create budget level design estimates based on preliminary designs.
  • Investigate public records for information surrounding existing Rights-of-way and utility easements to incorporate into design routing.
  • Create detailed construction prints for both in house and subcontracted crews while taking into consideration a multitude of construction methods including, aerial, open trench, joint utility trench, micro trench and directional drilling.
  • Develop OSP designs specifically for each project while utilizing a predetermined design architecture such as centralized split, distributed split or direct (P2P).
  • Complete rigorous “as-builts” and ensure their proper implementation in records.
  • Performed detailed site surveys to gather necessary data for accurate OSP engineering designs.
  • Evaluated new technologies for potential integration into existing OSP networks, staying current with industry advancements.
  • Coordinate with Field Supervisors to incorporate field revisions.
  • Requisition in advance all necessary materials to complete given projects.
  • Track timeliness and cost effectiveness of project completion on an ongoing basis.
  • Completing pole inspections both pre and post construction in order to complete proper joint use application with foreign utility organizations.
  • My role as part of a larger engineering team was to handle a significant portion of projects occurring in the rapidly growing Iron County, Utah.
  • During the course of 2020-2025 I have completed the following. 213 Customer specific fiber plant extensions. 92 New FTTH subdivision phases. 29 CapEx FTTX and middle mile projects. 14 Fiber plant relocations. 7 COAX plant extensions.

  • Initially hired to convert old hard copies of ILEC plant records to digital AutoCAD files.
  • Compiled both hard copies and CADTEL files into a single AutoCAD record.

  • Safely operated a forklift to ship and receive materials via heavy truck, LTL, UPS, FedEx, and internal trucks and to sign documentation for receipt of property and materials.
  • Reviewed receiving documents and materials to assure correct information.
  • Identified and segregated all non-standard material including as well as to identify environmentally hazardous materials requiring special handling procedures.
  • Visually inspected materials for signs of non-conforming condition and determine acceptability in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintained the A.O. Database including controlling all hard copies of the A.O.'s.
  • Performed Cycle Counts of raw and finished goods nightly to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Maintained records of all counts to ensure that all part numbers were counted. These records were also used during two successful Ernst & Young audits during my tenure.
  • Followed proper procedures as described by the Standardized Work Instructions and other Autoliv Production System documentation.
