Provide primary support in processing different products/samples for bacteria and fungi using various microbiological techniques. Including water filtration, pour plate, spread plate, drop plate, membrane filtration, Colitag, microscopy, staining, bacterial ID, antimicrobial challenge testing, etc. All testing is carried out according to standards/protocols using different bacteria and fungi. Perform testing, analyze data, write up reports, peer review, and communicate with clients regarding testing and results. Maintain sterile laboratory environment, general laboratory upkeep, and quality control duties. Assist in audits and qualifications.

Took on a greater training and administrative role. Was the
main trainer for the engineering water division testing area of the microbiology laboratory. Created new Standard Operating Procedures based on standards/current practice. Involved in reporting non-conformance, problem solving, method investigations, and improvement projects. As well as performed all duties listed under Associate Microbiologist.

certification using microbiological techniques. Responsible for challenge preparation, sample processing, data analysis, peer review, and data entry. Performed quality control, prepared bacterial/phage stocks, authored Standard Operating Procedures, and assisted in audits. In 2015 became a qualified trainer. Assisted in all duties listed under Microbiology Technician when needed.

Responsible for media and reagent preparation, waste disposal, and quality control in the microbiology laboratory. Maintained supply inventory and purchased supplies. Supported laboratory staff with sterilizing and cleaning of equipment used in testing. Prepared and maintained laboratory records. Performed all duties according to Standard Operating Procedures in a fast paced/deadline oriented laboratory environment.

Intern in inventory control, purchasing/receiving, and accounting departments. Assisted co-workers with various tasks. Put together assay kits, labeled/counted vials, weighed out chemicals, and packaged/picked orders. Filed invoices/pay stubs, followed up on order status, and organized paperwork. Performed all duties according to protocol, in a professional, team orientated work environment.

Led weekly office hour study session for students in a general psychology course. Explained and clarified difficult material. Motivated students by giving study tips. Attended lecture and took notes. Administered and graded exams. Worked as part of a team, which consisted of fellow teaching assistants and professor.
