My name is Martez Thrower, and football has been a big part of my journey. I played for three years and had the opportunity to attend the University of Kentucky, where I competed at one of the highest levels of college football in the country. While I was there, I studied Communications and worked hard to balance the demands of being a student-athlete.
After my time at Kentucky, I transferred to Georgia State University to continue my football career and also to explore new academic opportunities. At Georgia State, I changed my major to Interdisciplinary Studies, which gave me the chance to learn from different areas of study and broaden my knowledge beyond just one field.
Throughout college, I maintained a 3.5 GPA and made the Honor Roll all four years, showing that I take my academics just as seriously as athletics. Football has taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to push through challenges, but school has also helped shape me by giving me new ways to think, communicate, and adapt. Between my time on the field and in the classroom, I’ve built a foundation that’s preparing me for success in whatever I pursue next.
