Ensures all information is needed to expedite a smooth transition to establish Outpatient Rehabilitation services in the Adult and Pediatric Population for the Spanish and English population
Continuously assesses ways to process and improve intake processes for better functionality
Maintains records to daily referrals and tracks reasons for any referrals not accepted to better streamline workflows and processes
Communicates with Physicians, Caregivers, Patients to ensure documents are signed timely as per insurance authorization request requirements

Validates insurance coverage, and eligibility and relays information to Patient with any concerns or updates the system, if and when applicable
Obtains, verifies, and enters patient demographic data as required for pre-registration. Makes appropriate corrections when needed, and relays information to other departments to ensure uninterrupted billing processes
Discuses with patient their insurance coverage and benefits and it relays to the services being requested/rendered
In charge of requesting authorizations to ensure visits are compensable
Provides guidance to Parent and/or Patient when services will not be covered to set up or offer Private Pay arrangements
Assist the Parent and/or Patient complete all required Consents and Legal forms are completed filled out for appropriate patient pay collection attempts
Stays up to date on insurance regulations, and best practices as it relates to intake policy and procedures
Provides education to Providers on changes that impact authorizations/intake processes as Payer policy guidelines change
Familiarity with billing processes as it relates to intake and authorization processes
Serves as a back up to the scheduler, as needed
