I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1971 and began teaching in Dallas I.S.D. Later that year, my Navy family moved to East Baton Rouge, La. where I taught second grade until we were relocated to Pensacola , Florida. There I taught and first grade and kindergarten.
Separation from the Navy brought my family back home to Dallas. Helping families settle in the area was both challenging and rewarding both as a realtor and later as a mortgage loan officer.
Returning home afforded me the opportunity to work in the Garland ISD school system.
