Working closely with the teacher, I help implement the curriculum, interact with students and foster a positive learning environment. Managing a full class of 24 children, I stay organized to better serve the students, and often have to use my experience in conflict resolution to mitigate disputes between them. I communicate effectively with the teacher and parents to create a strong relationship between us, which in turn offers better support for the child. I often partner with other faculty to ensure we are running smoothly both inside and outside of the classroom.
I managed all aspects of day to day operations for several GNC stores while I held the position of store manager. I trained associates on selling techniques in order to hit all of our metrics, and continue to make our store profitable. My final stint as a store manager saw me opening a new store and fully staffing, and training associates. While I was in role, I won several monetary rewards for performance in key metrics. I continue to work for GNC as a sales associate as I pursue my interest in education.
In a small team of three people, I took on the role of office
administrator for a property management company. Along with tasks
such as filing and answering the phone, it was critical for me to
maintain a positive relationships with current tenants and make a great
impression with potential tenants. I used my years in customer service
and in sales to show apartments and help sign leases for tenants.
Creating and keeping positive relationships with contractors was key so
that they would prioritize Syrus properties to help resolve maintenance
issues quickly.
