  • Precepting Medical students from Lincoln Memorial University, Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Duties:
  • Outpatient clinic where I see the following:
  • Walk-in patients
  • Newborns
  • Performs well child checkups
  • Sees 35-40 patients per day in the clinic
  • Current schedule is 8-5 Monday – Friday, also one Saturday a month.
  • Take care of patients from birth to 21 years old with:
  • RSV
  • Flu
  • Acute asthma exacerbation
  • Dehydration
  • Otitis media
  • Small lacerations/stiches
  • Head concussions
  • Fracture stabilizations
  • Depression, ADHD, etc.
  • On call for the Emergency room, inpatient floor and the nursery level II 15 days a month: hospitalist for pediatrics:
  • I.V hydration, viral gastroenteritis
  • Acute asthma exacerbation
  • RSV, flu, croup or COVID-19 positive patients with hypoxia and or respiratory distress
  • Pain managements after orthopedic or ENT procedures

  • Skin infections, herpetic eczema, etc.
  • Nursery level II:
  • Rounds on well babies
  • Performs circumcisions
  • Attends to high risk C-sections
  • Comfortable with attending high risk deliveries
  • Neonatal cardiac resuscitation
  • Intubations
  • Emergency umbilical veins catheter
  • Lumbar puncture
  • Neonatal emergency thoracotomy
  • NCPAP-respiratory distress
  • Surfactant
  • Rule out sepsis in a newborn, etc…..
  • Rounds on my inpatients in the morning before starting clinic.
