I started my career with the paper industry 28 years ago in January of 1996 as a utility reserve with Gulf State Paper and worked various jobs between the pulping, power and recovery and woodyard. In 1999 I got a temporary position in the pulpmill as a water treatment operator and started my journey through the pulpmill line of progression, from there I worked my way through the bleach plant, clo2 R8 operation and washing and screening as well as Digester from outside man to operator at every position. In 2013 I got my chance offered to me to be shift supervisor. I served as a supervisor for about 9 years, during that time I managed the pulping and woodyard crew as well as did KRONOS and scheduling of shift while learning all the managing duties. Safety being the number 1 priority among being consistent and efficient at your job. In 2022 I got the chance to move up to Assistant Fiberline Manager at the Evadale mill in Texas where I have learned the priority planning for day to day running as well as future projects to increase mill performance and capability to run sowftwood on the Hardwood digester to stay competitive with the market and the demands of the business.
After High School I served in The United States Air Force
