Responsibilities included:
Driving materials to job sites, operating machinery, grading/raking dirt, prepping surfaces, painting curbs, and seal coating.
Job Responsibilities Included:
Peterbilt Class 6 driver, surface prepping, grading/raking base, and roller/compacter equipment operation.
GRADING
Removing and replacing old asphalt, ensuring contract base and depth are achieved. Removing and replacing unstable soil. Driving the water truck and applying water to soil as needed, and compacting to the proper specifications.
ASPHALT
Acquiring the specific type of asphalt needed, based on the manifest, and ensuring the material is at the proper temperature for use. Procuring and delivering asphalt to the job site. Applying asphalt. Compacting the applied material with rollers and plate compactors to the desired compaction rate and finish.
SEAL COATING
Driving sealant truck to procure sealant and delivering it to the job site. Prepping asphalt surfaces to ensure proper sealant adhesion. Mixing and applying asphalt sealer with brooms, squeegees, and seal buggies. Inspecting the cured sealant for flaws and regulation adherence.
