Martina Rivera

Summary

My career in higher education has centered on academic advising, with a strong focus on supporting students from undeserved backgrounds. I’ve successfully guided students through academic challenges, including those on probation—improving engagement and retention by providing personalized, practical support in both advising, financial aid, and continued guidance and mentorship. My passion for this work is rooted in my own experience with an advisor who helped me succeed, and I strive to offer that same empowerment to others.I’m passionate about creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that foster lifelong learning and real opportunity for all students.
