I have been a mariner my entire adult life. Starting in 1991, when I went into the Navy. I served until January 2001 as a Boatswain's Mate.
I served at various commands, both on sea and shore duty, with my last duty station being onboard the USS Cole (DDG 67).
Over the years working for Seacor Marine, I've been trained and have attended various classes and schools for my positions and for certification required by Seacor and oil companies.
In Nov. 2018, I was selected to bring a new-build vessel out of the shipyard that was contracted to Leidos/Gibbs & Cox for the Overlord Program.
I was the master on the USV2 Ranger and had the privilege of working firsthand with all the companies involved in converting one of the first OSVs into an operational autonomous vessel. Complete with testing and missions to help the technicians with advice on how vessels operate in various sea conditions, and to operate within COLREGS.
Made the first deployment as an autonomous MUSV across the Pacific Ocean and other regions of operation deemed important for the project.
My intentions are to upgrade my credentials to whatever is needed to further my career as a mariner.
