As a Telecommunication Tech I worked as a team member installing inside and outside Fiber Optic and copper cable. I assisted in the repair, trouble shooting, and removal of Cat6 cable. Fusion Splicing was performed at the job site as a team. As a security cleared American team member, I had the added responsibility of accompanying non-security-cleared foreign nationals while working in secure areas.

• Installed and configured new devices and system components.
• Planned layouts and ran cable into buildings and through walls, attics and crawl spaces.
• Actively listened to customers, handled concerns quickly and escalated major issues to supervisor.
• Devoted special emphasis to punctuality and worked to maintain outstanding attendance record, consistently arriving to work ready to start immediately.

While working as a Force Protection Field Officer, my duties consisted of teaching, running drills, on-the-spot correction concerning Working Instructions and Standing Operating Procedures, supervising the Entry Points and lanes, and filling in as an SGT when the need arose.

My guard duties consisted of mirror searches, 100% access media control through the use of PDA scanners, using Rapid Scan Secure 1000 to complete my RAM, performing overwatch in the M240B towers, and keeping my 240B, M4, and 9mm qualifications current.

Both jobs required the following:

I was part of a team that had the responsibility of protecting the CDC from bad actors both at the outlying properties and on the main campus.

• Preparing visitor badges for CDC guests.
• Drafting reports of property damage, theft, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Patrolled and monitored premises.
• Gathered information and implement resolutions.
• Checked identification of all persons entering and exiting facilities.
• Worked independently and collaboratively to resolve urgent issues to protect lives and property.

• Account manager of a four-building complex with parking lots.

• Performing guard duties which included monitoring CCTV and roving.

• Drove and operated structural pumpers, tankers, ladders and service vehicles to aid in rescue operations.
• Removed individuals from dangerous situations and offered emergency assistance for minor and critical concerns.
• Educated public and community members on fire safety and prevention methods to provide life-saving techniques.
• Calmly and effectively directed evacuations during fires and emergencies to avoid fatalities, injuries and panic.
• As a Paramedic I responded to emergency medical calls to perform lifesaving procedures and other emergency medical services.
• I competed as a team member in the Scott Combat Challenge for Clayton County. Our team became National and World Champions in 2008.

• I worked for the University of Florida as a Clerk in Latin Library (6 months), Clerk in transcripts (6 months), and Clerk supervisor in the transcript department. Extra duties included running the CEU department and training work-study students.
