Knowledgeable in the use of lathe, milling machine, surface grinders, tig welding, as well as the use of 25,000 lbs. overhead cranes. Also including the use of micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, sine plates, and fixtures. Fabricating and maintaining injection molds and dies to ensure maximum production and quality.
Collaborated with engineering team members on design reviews for new products requiring special tools or fixtures. Overseeing standard operating procedures required for setup, operation, maintenance, repair, replacing parts, and installation processes.
Tool and die makers fabricate tools, dies, and punches using CNC lathes and EDM, as well as conventional machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders. Responsible for maintaining maximum production by routinely inspecting and cleaning dies. Regularly heat treat tool steel, like A2, D2, H13, O1, S7, and FIKL material.
Class A tool and die maker maintaining progressive dies, high-speed dies, and cut-off clearances. Currently modify prototypes and fixtures, and maintain press dies for maximum quality and production specifications. Operate conventional tooling, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and overhead cranes. Re-sharpening of cut-off sections, punches, and bushings, as well as transferring from old shoe dies to new dies.
Class A tool and die maker maintaining progressive dies, pierce dies, and cut-off dies for solar panels and mass production lines. Duties included, but were not limited to, re-sharpening die sections, punches, inserts, etc. Maintaining lines for maximum quality production, as well as operating cranes and forklifts.
Supervising toolmaker directing the fabrication of progressive dies, molds, and troubleshooting to said specifications. Provided technical support for the production division to ensure maximum production and quality. Operated all conventional machines for the manufacturing of high precision projects such as molds, dies, fixtures, jigs, prototypes, gauges, and devises of mass production such as cores, cavities and die parts etc., to +- 0.0002 tolerance. Knowledgeable about heat treating procedures of metals such as A2, D2, S7, O1, and stainless steel.
