Summary

I have 30 years of labor and delivery experience. From the start I have had a passion for knowledge and have been going to conferences since my first year of nursing. My particular area of interest is fetal monitoring and have been going to Lisa Miller conferences every 2-3 years for 25 years. I pride my self on keeping current with evidenced based care and I am a tireless advocate for following evidenced based practices and promoting patient safety. I have been a member of AWHONN for most of my career and take pride in the fact that I have been certified in in patient obstetrics for almost 20 years. I became certified in fetal monitoring in 2022 to be an example to my team to seek knowledge in fetal monitoring as it is a critical component of the care we provide to our patients. During my last year at St. Joseph hospital I was a champion for nurses and providers to become NCC certified and found a webinar by Triple S Services that was utilized by the many members of the multidisciplinary team who subsequently obtained their certification in fetal monitoring.

I believe that I would be an asset to your team due to my long standing passion for fetal monitoring, evidence based care and patient safety. It will be so fulfilling to feel as if I am making a difference in the care we provide to birthing parents.
