I worked at the Post Office for almost 37 yrs and the last 15 of those, along with carrying mail and all that encompassed, I coordinated breakfasts, retirement parties, or station appreciation dinners at Delano Station for approximately 120 employees. I was the one organizing, cooking, locating catering, or anything associated with the events they had.
I have put together numerous wedding receptions, showers, (baby or wedding), retirements parties, birthday parties, hosted sport get-togethers, reunions, and most anything anyone asked for. At these events, I would coordinate, cook, set up and tear down, decorate and organize them. I've had anywhere from 25-150 people at a time.
I am currently Director of Retirees for Branch 201 Union. I do 4 events a year. I host a large Retirees dinner in April, a breakfast in November and then come up with 2 more events at other times, maybe an event with a speaker or a game night...food included. There is 200 retirees. Before I got this position 3 yrs ago, average of 45 people showed to the events, it is slowly moving up with an average 80-90 people showing.
