-Part of the sales team that works with case managers and care coordinators at hospitals and clinics to facilitate setting up various home infusion therapies.

-Teach patients/family members how to self-infuse home IV therapies such as antibiotics, TPN, milrinone, steroids, IV fluids, chemo, etc.

• Field RN that administers IV therapies to acute and chronic patients (IVIG, SCIG, Biologics, Inotropes, Steroids, IV antibiotics, Enteral therapy, TPN, enzyme replacements, factor replacements, chemotherapy, etc.)
• Proficient in obtaining and maintaining IV access- PIVs, Port access/deaccess, PICC/CVC lines including central line dressing changes and care.
• RN is responsible for scheduling nursing visits with patients at their homes, the infusion suite, or the hospital and providing education and training to patients and family members when needed.
• RN has helped train many new RNs and recently was selected as the only RN for our branch to pilot the new program for nursing documentation.

• Performed assessments, reviewed patient’s history, lab work, and tests done prior to surgery to determine each patient’s risk factors in order to provide safe care.
• Effectively communicated with the operating room team (OR circulator, CRNA, Anesthesiologist, and surgeon) regarding patient’s history, current assessment, and potential risk factors.
• Educated patients and family members; daily discharge call backs
• Prepared each patient for surgery including assessment of vital signs, surgical clippings, drawing labs, initiation if IVs, obtaining EKGs and other tests as indicated, and administering medications.
• Served as a regular charge nurse and preceptor on the unit.
• Takes 2nd call for PACU regularly, and helps in PACU when needed

• Competently provided quality patient care to post-op patients from numerous surgery types.
• Educated patients and family members regarding discharge instructions and follow up care.

• Lymphoma/ Myeloma medical- surgical telemetry unit
• Administration of chemotherapy and blood products
• Management of central lines, foley catheters, nephrostomy tubes, Denver Catheters, Intra peritoneal catheters, and JP drains.
• Provided education to patients and family members
