Accomplishments
- Applied and received grants from Susan G. Komen Foundation for five years running. These grant awards were used to provide mammograms for underserved patients in the Fort Bend County area. Over 900 women were the recipients of the grant funds. These women were taught how to be empowered and in charge of their own healthcare.
- For the five years that I applied for the grants, I had the honor of being the team captain for the OakBend team of employees that participated in the annual Susan G. Komen walk each October. Participants and team captains are asked to receive pledges of sponsorship for the annual walk. The greatest honor was to be named as one of the top 100 fundraisers for one of these years.
