Mary Dambacher

I am the medical director for 6 separate county jails. I work independently providing care for persons housed at each facility. I provide care for individuals who have chronic health conditions, acute conditions such as drug or alcohol withdrawals, mental health disorders, and acute injuries. On average I am responsible for 1200 to 1500 incarcerated individuals.

• Ordered and interpreted diagnostic tests to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Prescribed appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to support health and comfort of patients.
• Assessed patients to determine individual needs and develop care plans in coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Educated patients on treatment options, medical needs and non-medical options for treatments and therapy.
• I work in internal medicine caring for patients age 12 and older.

I was the nurse practitioner who provided chronic and acute care for prisoners at Jacksonville correctional facility. I was also responsible for physicals for correctional officers.

I was the in house nurse practitioner at Capitol care and rehabilitation. I provided care for approximately 200 patients. I provided acute and chronic illness. I assisted in referring to specialist care, assisting with infectious outbreaks and assisting in acute and chronic wound care.

I was a nurse practitioner who worked with the hospitalist group. I was responsible for admission, ordering medications and supervising patient care.

I worked in critical care -general surgical icu, trauma icu, and cardiac icu. I was charge nurse for approximately 10 years. I was responsible for patient care, assisting nursing staff with patient care, rapid response team leader, and code team leader.

I was responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms for 65 patients per shifts. I also worked as a nursing assistant prn.
