The Short-Term Suspension Center serves as an alternative to out-of -school suspension for CMS students. Students serving one to ten days suspension may attend the center to receive academic and behavior support. Teachers collaborate with Behavior Modification Technicians (BMT) to redirect student behavior through small group Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and individualized interventions. Staff coordinates with students' home school teachers and parents to gather assignments to ensure students do not fall behind academically while on suspension.

• Assisted students in locating and completing work assigned by teachers through various technology platforms
• Collaboratively plan SEL instruction with BMT and facilitated restorative circles.
• Completed forms, reports, logs and records to quickly handle all documentation for parent and home school.
• Conducted daily orientation for students along with parents with the intake/outtake process.
• Served as the Recorder for district teacher PLC meetings.
• Developed & created anecdotal assessments for all students that attended Arbor Glen Short- Term Suspension Center.
• Operated the most populus elementary/middle school short term center for two years consecutive 2018-2019 & 2019-2020.

Results: Reduced district wide OSS days by 1176 days in 2019 -2020

Chester Park Elementary School of Inquiry is a Title of One School that serves grades Pre K through 5th. The school has approximately 500 students. The school operates on a traditional school calendar. The inquiry model is based on a curriculum and framework that allows students to explore what is relevant to them, all while mastering the skills needed to thrive in academic environments and beyond.

Primary Duties :

• Prepared materials for lessons, assignments, and assessments, and evaluated, corrected and graded student performance to identify gaps in skills or knowledge and set realistic goals.
• Built positive relationships with parents to involve families in educational process.
• Worked one-on-one with students to determine strengths, weaknesses, and learning patterns.
• Adapted lessons to differentiate instruction and meet students' diverse learning needs and abilities.

Idlewild Elementary School is a partially magnet and Title One School that serves about 1,200 students. The school operates on a traditional school calendar and has a 1:1 technology integration.

• Maintained student portfolios to monitor learning progress and completion of work required for promotion to next grade level.
• Built positive relationships with parents to involve families in educational process.
• Scheduled and directed field trips and hands-on activities to foster student learning and creativity.
