Cleaned snow off of cars. Parked cars and drove them through the auction area. Worked in the rain, snow and heat, five days a week for seven hours a day. Manhiem hired women and men of all ages and ethnic groups that had passed a background check and drug test. I was now able to buy food and clothes after Chicago Public Schools closed many fulltime teaching positions following the 2012 strike. I had to take this job because substitute teaching work was not regular or guaranteed.
