  • RN provides medical support and assessment for individuals admitting to treatment for chemical dependency
  • The RN acts as the admitting nurse, taking in a full verbal history assessment, performing vital signs, urine drug screen, COVID 19 testing
  • The nurse provides medication administration to all residential patients and day treatment/lodging patients at HBFF

  • The home visits warrant a multitude of cares and skills- full body assessments, skin assessment, vitals, wound cares that may or not involve a wound vac., PICC lines- site care weekly, port-a catheters to involved site care- access and deaccess of port, IV fluids, blood draws when labs are ordered- venipuncture or taken from an indwelling- PICC or central catheter/Port
  • RN must chart all orders, cares and communications to disciplines after each visit
  • RN has knowledge of insurance policy as well as training with Oasis- the initial charting and creating of patient admission is lengthy and it is the RN who opens the patient to home care to complete the admission process to include paperwork for consent - if the RN is not , keeping patient for his or her own caseload, report is given to RN taking patient
  • My territory for home care includes all of the west metro suburbs
