As an educator, tailoring the learning experience to students was a priority while coaching anxious students through their first catheter insertion or provide a more experienced and confident student with a challenge that will help them learn new skills. The goal was to transform new student nurses from the student role into the role of a professional nurse. Professors should aim to role model the values of caring, diversity, integrity and excellence in the healthcare structure, while being committed to improving overall health and business processes in healthcare. Part of the nurse educator role is the way that the learning environment is structured around the student, whether it is in the classroom or the clinical setting, by choosing learning opportunities that help students build on their strengths and overcome personal or scholastic limitations. In the hospital setting nursing education takes place on a regular basis Nurse educators provide regular feedback and advice to their students/nurses to help them improve their practice. Strengths include excellent attention to detail and a great work ethic.
