Stay and play. I am the Lead Person. I am trained and certified at the YMCA, supervising children for up to 2 hours while parents are working out. I create a comfortable and safe environment, caring and enthusiastically interacting with children, making them feel safe, and getting down to their level to play with them. We also do arts and crafts, sensory play, reading time, and even outside time to play. We also greet the children and their parents, and we make them feel welcome, having open communication with the parents. All toys and activities are appropriate for our age group (6 weeks to 5 years). At the end of the shift, everything is clean and sanitized for the next following shift. Before and after care, summer camp, worked with a coworker, completed tasks, checked in the students, had them do activities, and if it is nice outside, took a group outside and let them have playtime. I fed them breakfast, and after breakfast, they had exercise for 20 minutes, did group activities, then got ready to go swimming, got my group to change clothes, and put on their swimming outfits.make every child is wearing there life vest before going into the pool.Then atfer swim have small snack,before lunch,have free play after lunch before nap time.
