Detail-oriented machinist with strong skills in blueprint reading, machine operation, and troubleshooting. Committed to safety compliance and efficiency in all tasks.
While I have 14 years of manufacturing experience and machining is something that is a great field to get into, I do not have the credentials necessary to pursue a higher paying position and am honestly not interested in working with CNC machines for the rest of my working career.
I decided to pursue a career in something that I have always been interested in, but have not thought that it was possible to get into the field until now. I am in a different position to be able to pursue further education into veterinary medicine and truly hope to find somewhere that is a good match that I can contribute to a company's profitability and growth as well as grow new skills and strive to continue to learn for the rest of my career as a growing veterinary assistant.
I was eventually taken from glass bead blast and was promoted to an EDM wire operator, but I unfortunately was laid off and had to find other work.
I do understand that I have primarily manufacturing experience, so I could see it not being relevant and steering someone away from hiring me for any kind of externships, but I am trying to get out of manufacturing and get into a career that I am actually proud of everyday and actually want to do with my life
